Have You Cruised Before?

Have you gone on a cruise before?  If so when was the last time?  The cruise ships have really changed over the years.  If it has been a while, I highly recommend going on another cruise!!

I absolutely love cruises.  My first cruise was in 1994 for my honeymoon.  We absolutely loved it. We went on our next cruise and noticed the different personality of the cruise line immediately.  It was much more formal.  Both cruises were terrific but for us at that point in our lives, the less formal ship fit our personalities and lifestyle better.  (We are heading back to the "more formal" cruise line now to experience it almost twenty years later.) When I began studying the cruise lines as a travel agent I found that aspect of the cruise lines fascinating.  They all have their own brand and personality that they want to present. Picking the right ship and destinations can have a huge impact on whether or not someone cruises again.  My father-in-law is the perfect example. He went on one very formal cruise and loved it.  Several years later, he went on a different cruise line which was much less formal and he refused to cruise again for years.  I have recently convinced him to go with us on a cruise next year but I know what he wants and will get the perfect match for him. I am also planning to win him over to cruising again.

What is your favorite cruise line?  I have wanted to experience all the different cruise lines because I feel like that helps me advise on the best match with my clients.  I do want to point out that if you have a cruise line you really like, it is beneficial to keep sailing with them.  They tend to have loyalty programs that grant you different benefits and amenities the more often you cruise with the them.

Norwegian Breakaway

Have you heard about the Norwegian Breakaway?  It will be sailing out of NYC starting this month.  It is amazing to see these new ships with all their features and innovations.  As you can see from this picture, they will be having fireworks which I am certain will be amazing.  I'll be on it early next year and will give you a full report!  In the meantime, please let me know your thoughts if you sail on this one.

Norwegian is home of Freestyle Cruising.

I can't list all of its features but would be remiss if I don't mention any of them.

The Waterfront
A quarter-mile oceanfront walkway lined with shops, restaurants, and bars!

678 Ocean Place
Three decks of daytime and nighttime entertainment at the heart of the Norwegian Breakaway!

Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian
NYC celebrity chef is launching his first restaurants at sea: The Raw Bar, Ocean Blue by Geoffrey Zakarian, and Ocean Blue on the Waterfront.

The Aqua Park & Sports Complex
The Breakaway is the only cruise ship to offer five multi-story waterslides.  One of the waterslides is the Free Fall which is the fastest waterslide on a cruise ship!

If you'd like to find out more about the Norwegian Breakaway or to book a cruise feel free to call me or book it through funtravel.cruisebrothers.com!!
